Forum Look Feedback

Hey guys, hope you like the new banner I threw together.

Just wanna get some feedback on the site look and get any and all suggestions that you may have for the forum layout/look.
Also, if anyone has experience in any type of graphic or web design, your help with the forum will be greatly appreciated.

Looks great. Only problem I see is the user bar, but that'll probably be fixed soon. Everything blends well and has a nice contrast to it without being overdone. Definately like it more than the old one.

EDIT: Depending on what you need, I do dabble in Graphics and Pixelling.

Looks great so far in my opinion, I love the look of the logo banner.

Also, just out of curiosity, will you be able to take avatar/sig requests by any chance?
The ones I have now are a little thrown together imo.

Also, in regards to the new nav bar, I feel like I could "breathe" through it. It's really thin-looking. Maybe bold it or give the text a slight stroke?

I agree with Blue here, it's really thin. You can kinda see right through it. Thicker text would be nice. I also took Blue's other suggestion and moved it to the right. With the new nav bar, it does look a bit better.

EDIT: Looked at the images alone, you used a gray outline for it, that just blended perfectly with the background. I think that was the problem. Just turning the outline white, or at least expanding the white part, would do it.

Or you could try raising the font size by 1, or giving the text as-is a pure black stroke at 50% opacity. Maybe a combination of the two?

Much better mind you I've only see this new one on my phone but it's really looking fuller and more complete.

@ Blue & Duo: The nav bar is only a temporary placeholder until I can whip up something better that cooperates with the forum.

@ Gold: I'd be happy to take avatar/sig requests after the layout is finished.

Glad you finally changed the color scheme. Looks pretty good so far, but I still hate that lined blue overlay the banner has

You're the only one, dude. Is there even a reason to hate it, or does it just look shitty on your shitty monitor?

looks fine on mine. i just think the banner is wider/larger than it has to be.

Well it's supposed to be a sort of header. Fits with the standard size of the forum box, y'know?
But it's something to consider, I suppose.

Obviously we have a new layout, since the other one accidentally got trashed.
Just uploaded new forum old/new icons. Hopefully they work pretty well. They don't seem to fit as great, so I might desaturate the "old" one a bit.
