Old or new

So with the recent updates nins spell damage has gotten a lot of buffs and in case you didn't know it was pretty strong before. Now heres what I'm asking NIN is my favorite job so im wondering if i should just transfer my old character which saves a bunch of trouble in getting NIN and the 200 Yaguado necklaces for Utsumei or should i start a new character which is cheaper and i get to be tall again ><

if you want to spend the $25 that's fine. Remember that there will be a handful of people starting from scratch.

Well the question is what you plan to do when starting. I'm assuming we that re-roll will be solo-ing 'til twelve or so the first day or three, and then all fuck around together in the Dunes. You'd have to figure out what to do yourself. You might be able to find people to level with near your level if that's what you're looking to do.

well i have whm so id prbably pl you guys for a bit plus with lvlv sync once your lvlv 10 i can pt with you guys. Im an indecisive so i wanted peoples opinions

Well it all depends on if you're willing to pay the $25.
Personally I feel that starting half-way with a character feels too weird. I like starting anew.

I honestly hate repeating certain phases of xi. The idea of restarting the entire 1-30 phase frightens me. I consider it worth while to move my character over. He also has around 1 mil gil in spells and equipment for various jobs, + some other gear that is very uncommon that I like using at certain levels. Auriga xiphos is a fun sword but such a pain to get.

Agreed with metal, I honestly can't imagine repeating the early grind and just having NOTHING. Although you benefit from knowing wtf you're doing I imagine it would still be a tremendous pain.

In the mean time, I am sitting on an empty carbuncle server killing mobs for items and gold.

Hopefully I'll have a empress hairpin before I transfer to a busier server.

As an addendum, you could always use the old character as your main and level a new one with the bros on a new account as use it as a brd dualbox'd mule or something like that

ill think ill just do that extra charecters only cost 1$ so ill probably just do that

If you want to use them both at the same time you need another copy of XI and be paying for two accounts' fees. Could get kind of pricey.

What do you mean, Adamar? Use what both? The characters? Can't you just have more than one on one account?
Edit: Oh, use both characters at the same time. Yeah, you'd have to pay for the expansions for two accounts, and pay monthly for both of them.

As beneficial as it would be to have some high levels running around with our new chars, i think it would be better/funner if we ALL started from scratch...thats just me though.
